World healthcare student symposium 2015 (whss)
The WHSS brings together medicine, pharmacy and allied health students in an international forum to generate discussion, and understanding between the professions, develop skills and awareness of concepts in multidisciplinary working.
The first WHSS took place in 2005 and has grown to include four established international partner organisations in health. These are IFMSA, IPSF, EPSA and EMSA who work in partnership to not only organise the event but also to investigate ongoing joint initiatives that support the overall vision and mission of WHSS.
In 2013 the ECPTS joined the organisation of WHSS and for the first time physiotherapy will be represented at this event. ECPTS will remain committed to the partnership for the next two years and will be responsible for assisting in the organisation and delivery of the 2015 WHSS. For further information about how ECPTS will be involved in the partnership please email Roisin at [email protected]. More information about WHSS 2015 as well as the previous programme can be found at the following website address www.whss2013.com

Physio couch
About
The goal is to make it easy to have an abroad experience for every physiotherapy student. Physio Couch connect international physiotherapy students with couchsurfing, what basically means, sleeping on a couch of an other student. Students like to go abroad, and Physio Couch makes it easier, cheaper, much more fun and you will learn a lot. Students are connecting in different ways. Not only in a formal way, within a program, but also in an informal way. This is just as important!
Key features of physiotherapists are communication, flexibility, to be open-minded and to be able to connect easily with different people with their own idea’s. Meeting people who live in another country and speak another language will enhance your understanding of other people and cultures. We believe students will profit from an oversees experience. Next to having a lot of fun, it will help you becoming a more complete and knowledgeable physiotherapist.
