THE FIRST EXCHANGE PROGRAM Through ECPTS

First European Summer Physiotherapy Exchange Program (ESPEP) in the history by ECPTS is coming!!!

Ladies and gentleman it is our pleasure to introduce to you the first European Summer Physiotherapy Exchange Program (ESPEP) which is provided by BStR of Physio Deutschland (Germany) and the Physiotherapy Students Association in Czech Republic (Czech Republic).

And what is ESPEP?

We wanted to create an internship program for physiotherapy students during summer. We were inspired by the medical students association IFMSA (International Federation for Medical Students Association). And I have to thank IFMSA 2.LF CZ concretely Drahomír Kolenčík and Libor Svoboda for the useful advice, helpfulness and support given to create this project.

We organized an internship program for 3 weeks between Berlin and Prague. The participants of the program were part of this organization. The hosting students organized placements and sleeping opportunities for the incoming students and a few social activities. The deal is that each student pays for the accommodation in the hometown to keep the costs equalized.

This innovative Physio-internship started this Monday 29th of June in Prague. Two Students from Berlin are lucky to have the opportunity to learn by Czech Professors of Physiotherapy.

We will inform you soon about the results and experiences of our Exchange. With a successful outcome we will create a manual how to do an Exchange and be able to spread the word about lots of positive experiences.

Our vision is to get more countries involved in ESPEP, starting next year!.

Letter from the WHSS 2015 organization

Dear student, 
This year, you have the opportunity to participate to one of the biggest student congress gathering people from all over the world in the medical field. It will be the first edition that ECPTS is a full member of this event, which allow physios students to participate. So, do not miss it!

This is the World Healthcare Student Symposium WHSS2015, and it will be hold in Skopje, Macedonia form 17th to 22nd of November. SAVE THE DATE !!!!

Registration just opened at www.whss.com as it bring all medical students we had to share the places between continents and fields so their is only 80 places for physios.(80 for dentist, 80 for medics, 80 for vet and 80 for Pharmacists).
The main themes of this edition are for the three days :
Theme Day 1: Global Health and One Health
Theme Day 2: Ethics and Equality – a global perspective
Theme Day 3: Developing Healthcare – Progressive therapies

An entire day is reserve for sightseeing and visit of the city.

The accommodation and food is all included.
The all congress only cost 200€ per person for early registration (until the 10th of July), so don't wait longer and go register!!!!

Collecting information: Studies and Internships within Europe

ECPTS is currently collecting information about possibilities for physiotherapy students to go abroad, either for completing a whole study program in another country, for exchange studies or for an internship. One of the ECPTS’ goals is to promote exchanges and provide useful information in relation to studying abroad. We are asking all country representatives and students to help us with this project and ask that you complete a short survey. Please take some time to fill out this questionnaire and please bear in mind answers must be in English.
