The Romanian Physical Therapy educational system:
It contains of 3 years of Bachelor Degree studies, plus 2 years of Master Degree studies. The License to Practice is being received after passing the Bachelor’s Degree exam and also after a minimum 6 months of practice or volunteer work in a hospital or private practice. It is being released by the Public Health Departments in every region of the country.
How many schools/ universities do you have?
Around 20. Physical Therapy Faculties are included in different Universities in Romania like: Medical Universities, Physical Education and Sports Universities, Physics Universities and also Science Universities.
What is the entry level for working as a physiotherapist in your country?
For an entry level job you are required only the Bachelor’s Degree.
Do you offer English-speaking courses or summerschools for PTs/ PT-students?
No, not yet. We have managed this year to collaborate with 3 private practices to develop a program which implies welcoming 2 students from Europe for an internship in one of the 3 practices.

What are your projects and activities?
Members of the Romanian Federation of Physiotherapy and the Romanian Union of students .we managed to make ourselves known nationally and internationally, with important collaborations with Down Bucharest Association, MPG (sports marketing company and media) and the Ilfov Hospital . Also on 7th April 2015 we organized the first fleshmob at the subway to mark the International Day of Health by doing a dance activity with childrens that have Down Syndrome. Also. On 22 of June we will organise the first summer school for PT students, in collaboration with teachers, doctors and pt professionials – Kineto Plus Summer School.
