PT educational system:
There are public and private universities. Some universities can offer postgraduate programs after graduation. Studies take 4 years (2.540 hrs) and can result in an academic degree/diploma. As theoretical and practical lessons about basic and clinical sciences, summer internship (in summer of 2nd and 3rd year) and a full year internship(at 4th year). English preparatory class is required in some schools. Depending on the schools, students must write thesis and/or pass examinations(known as graduation exams) to graduate.

There are 38 physiotherapy schools in the country with about 800 students per year.

We represent Turkish Physiotherapy Association Youth Commission (it’s national students committee)

Describe your students’ organization in 3 sentences: 
Turkish Physiotherapy Association Youth Commission was founded in 2012 in order to solve the problems of the students in a better and more effective way. Turkish Physiotherapy Association Youth Commission represents physiotherapy and rehabilitation students who study at Turkish universities and tries to make a connection between these students and Turkish Physiotherapy Association. The commission works not only to improve professional and social skills of the students, but also to prepare them to be a physiotherapist.

What are the goals of your students’ organization? 
To investigate the problems of education and students,
To develop recommendations and to ensure the realization of the proposals.
To make proposals to Turkish Physiotherapy Association in order to prepare suitable environments and features for students to make it possible for them to focus on their career advancement and scientific researches.
To make it easier the participation of the students to international student exchange programs and internship programs.
To create public awareness for the problems of the profession and students.
To act as a bridge between students and Turkish Physiotherapy Association and to make students aware Turkish Physiotherapy Association's works.
To make student congresses .

about 1500

Do you offer English-speaking courses or summerschools for PTs/ PT-students?
There is no english course for PT students.
